When doubt threatens our peace…

And have mercy on those who doubt; Jude 1:22 ESV

Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:24 ESV

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands Psalm 138:8 ESV

And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalm 50:15 ESV

For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 ESV

Doubt can wear away our resolve and threaten our peace. Especially, when the problem we have prayed over for years, remains seemingly unaffected by our prayers. It may take us awhile to allow the truths of the above verses to sink in and route out the thoughts of doubt. Nevertheless, it is what we must do, if we desire to send those doubtful thoughts packing. Thoughts of doubt resist thoughts of peace but then thoughts of peace resist thoughts of doubt!

The Fiery Darts of Politics

I wrote a book, Fiery Darts: Satan’s Weapon of Choice, on which this blog is based, about how the enemy uses fiery darts (negative thinking) to steal, kill, and destroy the work of God in our lives. Perhaps you are thinking of voting for Hillary, even though you don’t like her or trust her, because you can’t imagine Trump capable of running our country. Perhaps you think that because of her political experience she would at least be more capable. Now, please understand that if you think like that, and I can understand why you would, you are allowing yourselves to be manipulated by the enemy. THIS IS A MAJOR FIERY DART! Here’s the Truth Thought that should replace that fiery dart: Don’t doubt God’s ability to make up for what Trump may lack.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Pro 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps.

By the way, do you see Hillary appointing a religious counsel to advise him? I have included in this post an article from Dr. James Dobson that I pray you will read! I urge you to keep the following in mind:

Dr. James Dobson on Trump’s Christian Faith

Only the Lord knows the condition of a person’s heart.  I can only tell you what I’ve heard.  First, Trump appears to be tender to things of the Spirit.  I also hear that Paula White has known Trump for years and that she personally led him to Christ.  Do I know that for sure?  No.  Do I know the details of that alleged conversion?  I can’t say that I do.  But there are many Christian leaders who are serving on a faith advisory committee for Trump in the future.  I am among them.  There are about 25 of us that include Jerry Falwell, Jr., Robert Jeffress, Jack Graham, Ben Carson, James Robison, Michele Bachmann, and many others whom you would probably know.  We’ve all agreed to serve. How will that play out if Trump becomes president?   I don’t know.  It is a good start, I would think.

If anything, this man is a baby Christian who doesn’t have a clue about how believers think, talk and act.  All I can tell you is that we have only two choices, Hillary or Donald.  Hillary scares me to death.  And, if Christians stay home because he isn’t a better candidate, Hillary will run the world for perhaps eight years.  The very thought of that haunts my nights and days.  One thing is sure:  we need to be in prayer for our nation at this time of crisis.
